She’s been a booked-out bridal stylist, slaying updo after updo at some random venue in a small town you’ve never heard of in rural Wisconsin. She’s been a corporate girlie—the salon version that is. Though it wasn’t her “forever”, she calls that formative training program her foundation. Freeing herself from salons altogether, she’s rented a suite.

This girl’s girl grew up in the salon. When Kiana was in middle school, her mom was in beauty school—“Yeah, that was a trip. I loved it.” The 916 Program became her direct avenue to her own career behind the chair, providing her with cosmetology credits, hands-on education, and a jumpstart on professional growth. “I literally started building my clientele at 16. Crazy.” It’s not crazy. It’s smart.

Sharing that Kiana joined BLONDELUXE in 2024 sounds odd because she’d been a part of the fam for far longer that that, being best friends with Lexi. In fact, she was her bff’s yes girl when Lexi called her up asking if she should take a job here. Five years later, it was Lexi’s turn. She’d been saving her a seat the whole time—Kiana’s station has remained next to Lexi’s since her first day at BX.

She left Saturday morning hairspray clouds, 40-chair chain salons, and the solo-stylist life for elevation, balance, and true heart-with-hands connection. Mentorship, Monday-Friday, and the magic of designing your life behind-the-chair while surrounded by people who really care has reinforced a commitment to our craft, one that she’s without a doubt had all along.
